When you hear the "gloom and doom" stories about real estate stalls, it sure hasn't affected Salida and Buena Vista, Colorado.

Total home sales for the state is doing better than predicted.  For the 1st quarter of 2007 compared to 2006, overall units sold increased 9.4%.

In Chaffee County, units sold increased 41.5%.  Out of 26 counties, only Steamboat Springs grew at a faster pace of 87.7%!  The number of units sold in Chaffee County in the 1st quarter of 2006 was 94 and in 2007 was 133.
