Estes Barks and Barks and Barks
June 28th, 2009 4:09 PM

It has finally stopped raining, I am glad for the sunshine as the damp hurts my joints.  It is hard enough to get around as it is.

Our boating festival was wild.  My favorite event was "the Crazy River Dog Contest."  These brave dogs jump into the fast-flowing river to retrieve an object then scramble back to their masters.  All for a big bag of dog food!

Some friends visited from Denver.  They remarked how good I look.  It is always nice to get compliments.  Mom spent three days bicycling with them and showing them our town.  I think they'll come back, what's not to love?

One activity was attending a classical music concert.  The artist, Jeremy Denk, came from the Aspen Music Festival.  Mom said it was the best pianist she had ever seen!  I like him because on this web page, he talks about his childhood dog, and that his current canine helps him practice by sitting under the piano and perking up (or down) to various movements.  You can check out his blog at thinkdenk.com.  He is quite a writer.

Love and licks for now, Estes Bark
