At the heart of downtown Salida you'll find Colorado's biggest historic district, featuring buildings like the A.T. Henry Building built in 1886 -- at the main (read: only) downtown traffic light on F Street and CR 291. This several block radius also features the old Palace Hotel builing and a colorful wall of antique kayaks standing just off F Street -- a testament to the history and continued popularity of kayaking in the Arkansas River Valley.
