Stay for a Lifestyle

What a great day!  Sunday, I joined up with the South Central Racing Club for the Ladies Bike Ride, which is laughable because there are more men than women.  I thought it would be too cold, but everyone warmed up after the Leslie Walker Pinon Hills Memorial Climb.  I told the other riders that reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.  For any of you who want to do this:  start at the stop sign on CR 156 before the rr tracks, travel as fast as you can to the top of the hill just past Sioux Street and to the Pinon Hills Subdivision sign.  Time to beat:  men - 8:42; women 9:30.  My time is so slow, maybe I have died!

Then picked tomatoes out of my own garden patch!  I asked the little girl next door to join me, she took a long time to appear, but it was because she wanted all her clothes to be red, so she'd look like a tomato.  Can't blame her!

The piece de resistance!  The Walden Chamber Music Society concert at the Steamplant.  Bravo!  Maria Schleuning, violinist, is a member of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and joined Jo Boatright, pianist, a Grammy nominee.  They played Beethoven, Sarasate and Brahams to a 90% crowd and a standing ovation.  I especially liked it because as a volunteer bartender for the event, my admission was free!

Home to a fire, my aging dog, Estes, and hubby, Dale.

Just another day in Salida, Colorado - Leslie Walker, Salida Realty, leslie@buysalida, 866 539 1041 toll free.
