Stay for a Lifestyle

Spring is finally here!  Or it was, at least.  We've been out mountain biking, rafting, fly-fishing, gardening; daffodils and crocuses and other hard to spell spring flowers were blooming, and then it got cold and started snowing again.  Proof that it's spring.

Real estate buyers and sellers have been coming out lately as well - the under $200,000 market has been particularly active in the last few weeks.  Homes for sale under $200,000 in Salida have been getting several showings per day, most have gone under contract in just a few weeks, and several have had multiple offers the day they were listed!  Of course I'm on the lookout for seller's with homes in this price range.

My Salida real estate prediction - it won't be long until you hear folks reminiscing about the good old days when you could buy a home in Salida for under $200,000.  Hopefully most of you will have bought your home, second home or investment property in Salida by then.  If you don't believe me, check out prices in places like Crested Butte, Summit County, Durango, Steamboat Springs and any other Colorado mountain resort town.  The only difference - Salida's still nice.
